Presume you are talking about treating rinse waters, not spent solder
stripper.

If so, the amount of Ferric becomes much more manageable, and may allow you to
consider this sort of scenario:

rinse waters go to a small sump, that is unique to them, not shared by other
rinses.

adjust pH (incidently, the Ferric actually precipitates at even below pH 2!

filter through continous paper filter, or other very large area filter.

effluent to IX exchange.

If you are concerned with treating spent solder stripper, there are other
answers, which I am not prepared to discuss, yet, on Technet, but would be
happy to off line.
