I suppose with a last name like mine I need to select Polonium.

Also since it is unstable I can relate to that.

.

Doug,

1) Fluorine of course! I would make a suit that would deflect any insults, slurs, false accusations and rocks.

2) Promethium - make is so that is glows in the dark and yet wouldn't radioactively toast me and impregnate the outside of my fluorine-containing suit so I wouldn't need a flashlight at night.

See what one can come up with, when one is semi-retired!

Regards,

Bev

Not sure if my evil twin brother will be posting a quiz this week, but I thought I would pass along something related.

One of the joys of my job is that I get to go into local schools and give science and engineering demonstrations to kids. I went to a 6th grade class yesterday, run by a teacher I have known for a long time, where their module was the periodic table. The students got to pick two elements from the table and determine how they would make those elements into

superpowers. then they had to decide: superhero or super villian. It was

a blast. So, something for your weekend - what elements would YOU choose and how would you use them? I picked Carbon and Oxygen.
