The best flux is process and product specific.

We have used both water wash and no clean in our process. At room
temperature, the SIR is about the same after washing the OA flux. At
high temperature and humidity, unwashed no clean (or washed no clean)
     has significantly better SIR.

Also, we must spray no clean on some panels, while others can be
foamed. It depends upon board design.

We are beginning evaluation of water based no cleans.

Remember, the best flux is the one that works best in your process,
not what works best for another industry.

     I hope this helps.

Hi all Technetters

We are planning to exchange our flux in the Wave Soldering process, so
i'm curious in what kind of fluxes there are on the market and results.

Which flux is really the best in Your process?
Has anyone tried different fluxes? Results?
Is there any technical papers on tests with different kind of fluxes?
Where can i find them?

I appreciate any kind of information,

Jan Merstrand
