IPC-A-610D as a widely adopted assembly acceptability standard was recently
released to the industry.
Within our user groups there is an interest to identify acceptability
criteria that would be considered unique to Telecommunication products
considering their specific operation and product performance perspectives.
The possible end result would be a telecommunication addendum to
IPC-A-610D. The precedence for this type of addendum was initially
established for Space applications with the concurrence of IPC and the
TAEC. For perspective the resulting 001C space hardware addendum is
available at www.ipc.org/downloads
We're looking for additional interested parties that would commit to
supporting the development and to that end we'll look at the opportunity
for a brief kickoff meeting during the upcoming IPC Fall Meeting.
If you are interested in participating in this effort please contact myself
or Jack Crawford at IPC.
Offline would probably be better.

Thanks
Mel Parrish
