like the situation for most
 people, there is too little time....maybe the reason why so few responded....
Daily tasks that demand more attention than surfing on the net. Still, TechNet is fantastic, like a living dictionary, competitive, rapid, funny...One reason for asking (stupid according to some?)questions like this one is that I wonder why so little is up concerning microvias, miniaturisation, new materials, built-in coolers, built-in passive components, recycling, leadfree solders, better RF properties, dispensing, shielding etc. Maybe I put questions to wrong forum, such matters may not belong to basics about PWBs. There are plenty of magazines and organisations for these areas. Anyway, we are glad to have TechNet, many thanks, you are all great!! / Ingemar

 I represent several different companies:
S3/Diamond Multimedia:  We are a multimedia/comms/internet appliance H/W
company- annual revs about $2B, some 1500 people; IP Managers: We provide
technical litigation expertise ('expert witness'), as well as patent
portfolio management- annual revs about $30M, 12 people; MS&PF (Maui
Semiconductor & Pineapple Factory): We are an consulting association of
hi-tech professionals from the supplier quality and supply chain management
disciplines- annual revs $20M, 4 people.

Yep med & small, and not squarely in the TechNet community, but where are
the Solectrons, MSL's Pemstars, et al of the world?
I am from a small EMS company near Allentown PA. Allen Integrated
Assemblies, a subsidiary of Allen Organ Company. We make about 3000
boards a week, mixed technology SMT and through hole. I contribute
occasionally, listen mostly. I have been involved in contract
manufacturing for about nine years. We have been at it about 12 years.
We focus on companies with needs for electronic manufacturing but other
core business.
