Currently for our inhouse rework, we keep our soldering iron temperature at
500 degree F. In an audit of our Contract Manufaturer, the soldering iron
temperature for rework was 750 degree F. In reviewing various IPC documents,
we can not find a recommended temperature. What are the various companies
using and what source is employed.
