The Shipley Company has the following opportunity:
     
     
     Manager,  Equipment Projects
     
     DESCRIPTION:
     This position is responsible for coordinating between Shipley R&D, 
     process requirements; taking the requirements and having specific 
     designs put together through universities and or design companies; 
     once design completed, transitioning those concepts into a model shop 
     atmosphere where prototypes are established and then transitioned into 
     full-blown manufacturing with any revisions that might have to be 
     made.
     
     Additionally, the successful candidate will support the Shipley group 
     in selecting equipment manufacturers through a qualified rating 
     system; defining equipment; looking at price structures of equipment; 
     supervising deadlines during production of equipment; and acceptance 
     of equipment. This person must be able to sit down with high level 
     executives at our customers and discuss their equipment needs and 
     strategies; bring back those customer requirements and incorporate 
     them into our entire system.  The successful candidate will be the 
     consummate equipment professional working design through 
     implementation through customer visits through understanding of 
     equipment needs.
     
     QUALIFICATIONS:
     * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Master's 
     degree 
        preferred
     * Experience with fluid dynamics required
     * Experience with heat exchangers and other spraying systems desirable
     * Background in manufacturing and designing of equipment helpful
     * Be able to interface with several different levels of a customer's   
        organization
     * Be able to establish and maintain solid relationships with customers
     * Act independently, motivated, as a self-starter with an 
     understanding of 
        the objectives
     * Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
     * Exhibit professionalism in both image and conduct
     
     SALARY:  Position has a base salary and bonus component; base salary 
     range of mid-$50's to high $80's; benefits package includes pension 
     plan, 401(k) plan and medical, dental and life insurance.
