Hey Folks,
Is anyone having problems with pins bending during the insertion of
     compliant press-fit connectors?

In an effort to have a product which was 100% surface mount, we chose
the compliant press-fit pin backplane connector so that wavesoldering
     would not be necessary.

Since then, manufacturing had problems with pins bending during
insertion, so we reverted to solder pins and wavesoldering.

Now, to eliminate the wavesoldering process thereby saving time and
money, the press-fit pin is being considered once again.

If you've had any types of problems with press-fit connectors, what
were they and how did you resolve them?
Thanks in advance
Mike Lacey
