The standard was spilt in to subsections under the new numbering format.
The reference for board edge spacing is covered by the relevant sub of
the 2220 family, in this case 2222 has the spacing for rigid boards in
section 10.1.1 with reference to the mi9nimum electrical spacing table
6-1 in the 2221 specification.

Susan,
   Thanks for sharing the IPC sec/par.   I too have experience that some
criterions are not carried forward as Rev is being updated by IPC.   It
appears that the IPC STD have been relaxed.

Here is a paragraph from the old IPC-D-275 that provides a measurement.

5.3.1.4 Edge Spacing Except for edge-board contacts,
the minimum distance between conductive surfaces and the
edge of the finished board shall not be less than the minimum
spacing specified in Table 3-1 plus 0.4 mm [0.016
in]. Printed boards that slide into guides shall have a minimum
external conductor to guide distance of 1.25 mm
