I have seen a demonstration which went very well, plus Electrovert 
     swears by them.  This device will accurately tell how level your 
     solder wave pot is to the nearest 10th of an inch.   In addition, it 
     will tell you the temp and graph it for you.
     I was going to buy one for my last company but did not get a chance.
