I am involve with controlled impedance using PCB. We had to add controlled impedance tracks on a finished pcb which layer 2 is ground and layer 1 is empty. We added a daughter board, with microstrip tracks, which give the proper impedance.

The daughter board is attached to the main board by 3M double sided adhesive tape.

We are looking now for a reference in writing (like an article, any military/commercial standard, any company internal standard etc.).

I tried to check manuals and standards like the IPC-R-700 but found nothing. I assume that this solution
is quite simple and I am sure that someone already invented it before me.

I hope that some organization, like military rework/repair facility did it in the past.

Is anyone aware of such a solution or can refer me to a person (by e-mail) who might know about it?

If anyone like to have more details, I'll gladly give it to him.
