I have a copy of the official letter cancelling MIL-STD-2000 WITHOUT
replacement. The customer is not supposed to invoke any soldering
requirements on the manufacturer based on this letter.
If you are looking for soldering guidance, you may want to consider
ANSI/J-STD-001A which is a joint industry standard for soldering
electronic interconnections. J-STD-001A is available through IPC.
Regards
