Regarding Ron Kelley's E-Mail shown below, the ISO-9000 series of 
standards pertain to Quality Systems in general, not to any specific 
industry or trade.

ISO is an international organization with headquarters in Geneva, 
Switzerland, who's charter is that of providing a common ground for 
Quality Systems among member countries and companies within those 
countries. There are over 90 member countries at this time.

ANSI and ASQC are the two organizations that represent the United 
States in ISO related matters.

The intent of the ISO organization is to provide internationaly 
recognized standards for Quality Systems that allow third party 
registration.

Manufacturers and providers of interconnection and printed circuit 
materials, products and services may choose to pursue registration to 
one of three ISO standards.

ISO-9001 includes Design, Manufacturing, Inspection and Servicing.

ISO-9002 covers Manufacturing, Inspection and Servicing but not 
Design.

ISO-9003 only deals with Inspection systems.
