Technetters,
We are trying to determine the correct setting or pass/fail level
for our Ionograph. We have an Alpha Ionograph 500 M SMD II. When
entering a new profile on this machine it defaults to 14.0 ug/in.
In an IPC publication, IPC-TR-551 the following pass/fail levels are
listed:
Resistivity Extract =
10.06 ug/in
Ohmega meter (#'s 200,300,400,500,600) = 14.0 ug/in
Ionograph =
20.0 ug/in
These limits listed above are all equivalent to 2,000,000 ohm resistivity.
Am I correct in assuming this? May I then set my Ionograph at 20.0 ug/in
as my fail limit or coes my machine think it's an ohmege meter ?
Thanks for your help
Brett Austin
