My company, FMC United Defense Armament Systems Division, Minneapolis,
MN is in the process of transitioning to the ANSI/J-Std-001A spec.
Part of transition involves preparing a "block proposal change" to
incorporate the new spec into our current contracts. This requires
that a technical comparison be done between ANSI/J-Std-001A vs
Mil-Std-2000A. Please advise as to any existing technical comparion
     that might exsist.

     Sincerely,

Hello Walter,

Welcome to the "Club." We are in the final block change steps of transistioning
MIL-Q-9858 to ISO 9001.

MIL-STD-2000A to J-STD-001 is next on our agenda. I recently
obtained a list of other companies who are also going through this
process that I'll share with you. Unfortunately, this list contains
only the DCMC CAO point of contact.

Hopefully, as defense contractors we can start up a "network" to
support one another through this block change process.
