We have started using Assembly Expert 2.0. This is the new release and is
based on what was FAB MASTER as the core unit. FAB MASTER has been around
for many years now and therefore seems to be quite stable. The problems that
we have been seeing with the new release are small bugs with the
Optimisation and Program Output modules but I believe these are probably
only relevant to our particular machine outputs (We are Panasonic users).
There may be other Bugletts with other machine outputs.

The Optimisation works very well, good machine balancing and path design. We
are only using the basic optimisation which takes the feeder carriage and XY
table movement into account (There is a full optimisation which uses all
factors on machine). I would suggest that you purchase the Feeder Loading
Editor as this allows you visualise and make modifications to the feeder
loading.

The machine outputs are easy to modify as they are based on some rules
contained within an ASCII text file. There is also a Tool Kit option which
allows you to construct almost any output format that you wish. The
Technical Support Engineer provided me with an output for our AOI machines
in a few hours at no extra charge.

Hope this Helps
