Your lucky all your parts have a leadfree path at all. Many are
redesigning product because RoHS compliant replacements are not
available and will not ever be available. I'm talking about products
that were first designed just two years ago! It's costing companies tens
of thousands of dollars in PCB redesigns.

Furthermore, component vendors without clear RoHS compliance outlined in
their datasheets are not being designed in to new product and are being
omitted from Bills of Material that are being converted to RoHS
compliance. And yes, it's been my experience that some component
vendors are still clueless about this.

Not just your opinion.
I had the same response from a vendor this week. I almost reached
through the phoneline, down there throat and pulled their unmentionables
back through the line.
Seriously, if there are any component/hardware/connector/etc. vendors
listening
- get your act together. Saying you will be compliant by 7/1/06 is NOT
an acceptable answer. Not supplying info on how we will identify
compliant parts is NOT acceptable. You WILL lose customers if you
continue with these responses.
Feels good to get that off my chest!
Just another guy's warped opinion!
