Scott Douglas has asked the rhetorical question "since when has any
directive been voluntary that does not end up with mandatory
requirements?" That question prompted me to pose my own questions that I
hope will not be regarded as too off-topic. (At least they are short.)
Is anyone else besides me concerned that we are watching the European
Union gradually become a world-class dictatorship that is able to impose
its will far outside its geographical boundaries? If so, does anyone
have something to offer of how this drift could be reversed?
