Dave?
The annex to the official journal of RoHS needs careful reading. It
actually states “lead in the solders for servers, storage ...” so, whilst
the solder is exempt, the core components are not.
Kind regards
Paul

Subject: [LF] LF Exceptions - Telecommunications
Hi IPC-LeadFree Listserve,
In a recent article that WernerE pointed to in the ATC topic
tread it was noted by the Cookson author via quoting that certain
equipment will be exempt from LeadFree LF implementation. It seems
to list all telecommunications equipment(networking); as well as
servers, and storage equipment. How about Fiber Optic, Optoelectronics?
Any comments??
