Hello everyone,

There was a lot of discussion on tin whisker formation at the conference last week. One of the concerns was that there is no standard test to evaluate coatings and establish which are less prone to whiskering than others.

We now have a questionnaire on the lead-free.org website (under the research section) that is aimed at obtaining information on various tin whisker occurences and tests and potentially recommending a standard. Please help us out by filling it in!!

There is also information on the website about our tin whisker information booklet.

best wishes

Kay Nimmo
