You know, I'm just about at the point of thinking that let the EU build,
sell, and keep their stuff in the EU, and the rest of us build, sell,

I think that it has been some time since most of us studied the EU
directives.
So I read the directive 2002/96 again.
Mr Pellerin is right that airplanes are not exempt. This is mainly
because the directive has nothing to do with airplanes.
Millitary is not exempt, because the are not in the recycle directive.
Monitoring and controlequipment and medical equipment are exempt.
Airplanes, cars tanks spaceshuttles are not within the scope of the
directive.
