Hi,

I have one very basic query regarding the Lab testing for RoHS compliance .

Do we need to test the parts for all the constituents restricted by the EU
regulation even if we know that some of these banned substances will not be
present in the parts.?

My understanding is that when we test plastics , we need not test it for
Pb,Hg,Cd, Cr6+. We can test only for PBB and PBDE. Similarly when we test
metallic parts we need not test it for PBB & PBDE. In other words if we are
asked to submit the lab test reports then ,will such test report will be
treated as incomplete from legality point of view ?

Regards,
Nitin--
