[LF] Compliance statement woes

Any ideas on how to pry a compliance statement from a large manufacturer
of
a commodity item that is incorporated into our end product?

In this case it is a large Manufacturer of an ink jet print cartridge.
This doesn't even get into the troubles if re-sellers shelves are stocked
with thousands of non compliant ones.

Regards,

Mark Endorf
