Subject: RoHS Exemptions: Stakeholder meetings

*** Excuse double-postings ***

Dear stakeholders,

We have now finalised putting online all non-confidential documents provided

during the consultation. Also we have gained a first impression of the

content of the many submissions we received. As a result we would like to

give you the following preliminary information: technical stakeholder

meetings in

Brussels will probably be held with regard to exemptions nos. 1-4, 5, 6,

7(a)-7(c), 8, 9a, 13, 16-20, 25 and 26. Relevant stakeholders will be

invited via e-mail since the number of participants is limited. We are

currently planning to hold these meetings in week 24 (9 - 13 June). The aim

is to discuss these 9 exemptions within 5 days.

Unfortunately we are not yet able to give you more detailed information

since we first need to organise meeting venues and facilitation. However, we

hope that you can use this preliminary announcement to schedule your

activities in June. We will announce the detailed agenda and invite

stakeholders as soon as possible.

Concerning meetings / discussions with regard to the other exemptions and/or

exemption requests we will contact stakeholders directly in order to fix

bilateral meetings or clarify open questions via telephone and e-mail.

Should you have any questions feel free to contact us.

Many thanks and best regards,

Stéphanie Zangl
