FYI... The International Electronics Roadmap Committee has developed a
preliminary logo for environmentally friendly electronics that attempts to address
the matter holistically covering such issues as recyclability, recycled
content, heavy metals content, energy conservation in manufacture and use and a few
others. The intent was to not reduce the term "green" to the presence or
absence of one element on the periodic table (i.e. Pb).

A last thought on matters of fun... the discussion of the follies of
legislators has perhaps been one of most consistently popular entertainments among the
world's populations, probably since before Greek and Roman times and maybe it
has been entertainment for more than just us as I am reminded of a great old
Yiddish proverb "Man thinks and God laughs"
