Hi Again Nick, IPC LF Listservers,
I was serious about the top notes in the last message I sent, so it would
be nice if someone who was at this meeting at UK-Dolby replied On List so
we all can learn.
Here are two more notes, of only a few more.
B1> Dolby/Avaya/Telsis Queston#3
I don't necessarily agree with the way I read their question yet I can
think of a similar scenario. Let's say I have a REALLY OLD technology
that isn't easily replaced. It isn't just "the manufacturer won't
produce it" "or the designer won't design it" it is about a product
and a function that requires Research and Development to create a new
Lead Free component.
B2> Refit / Upgrade Kits (Taylor-Hobson)
I guess this makes sense to me, considering my own argument towards
replacement parts for existing equipment being AOK. Yet still this
question and answer took me aback as a great question
So I could keep a product out in the field in a continual
upgrade status with TinLead components and technology.
Yours in Engineering, Dave
