Hi,

I have some questions. Although they may be discussed before in this forum,
I am still not very clear about their answers.

(1) What is the exact deadline for banning lead usage in electronic products
in Japan, Europe and US respectively?
(2) How to define exactly a product lead-free, by percentage of weight in
the final products, by percentage of weight in the component/sub-system
level, or by lead-free manufacturing?
(3) What is current status on halogen-free? Does it have lower priority than
lead-free, or the same? How about legislation in Japan,EU and USA on
halogen-free?

I am working at a component manufacturing organization. I estimate that if
our components go to final products, such as a printer, scanner or PC, lead
percentage in terms of weight in a final product will be quite small.

Best regards,
Han Jiangbo
