It would be nice to know or see the CPSC note on list about these
products.

I think this helps us all as engineers/scientists better understand
lead Pb and how it might be bad in one way or another for human health
yet be good in another use like electronics.

The more information we have about lead poisoning the better we are
informed to support lead in other ways with the inhabitants of our
culture and our profession.

Another recall-related topic:
In my lead-related searches I've discovered that the CPSC has recently
devoted a good deal of time investigating lead poisoning in children
caused by pendants.

I suspect that we've all seen young children sucking on their necklaces.
Now with outsourced manufacturing beyond the reaches of normal
regulation it's been found that these pendants often contain lead.
Children will often put pendants in their mouths, and with the
sweet taste of lead those pendants stay there long enough to cause a
problem.
There have been some very sick children.

I venture to say that this issue will cause (and probably already has
caused) much more lead poisoning than SnPb could ever be accused of.

Sigh, why can't we concentrate on making changes that will actually make
a positive change in the environment - and in this case actually decrease
the measurable blood lead levels in the human race?
