Hi Ioan, IPC LF Listservers,
<Honestly, I see the whole thing as a hurdle in the development of new
technologies, as we will linger for a while figuring out how to solder what
we used to, instead of soldering something new.>
<
<Just a thought. Regards, Ioan
IF it was the right thing to do based upon a significant advantage to human
health or the environment, it would be worth the re-direction of future
technological achievements, at least to me and a few on this list. I hate
going backwards, even though mankind seems to love it as the next
improvement.
The ONLY advantage I see in this effort is the re-learning by a large
audience of the technology of soldering, environment, other and all of it's
ramifications.
Out of this re-learning we should advance with a lot of groans along the
way.
Yours in Engineering, Dave
