Nickel only? Yikes! Yes, I have heard of it and have been at the painful end of a supplier providing parts with a nickel only finish. What a nightmare. Avoid at all costs!! There is a very good reason why ENIG is ENIG and not EN! Nickel oxidizes quite nicely, thank you very much.

I have been working with some fabricators in Asia and I'm looking for some
outside input.
What LF finishes are recommended for a low cost consumer products A and B
(see below)?
Product A: Currently XPC with HASL and has a contact switch on board. OSP
not compatible.
Product B: Currntly XPC with HASL - no contact switch
What is the advantages and disadvantages each finish?
Anyone heard of Ni plating (no gold)?
