Dear all,
I'm quite new to this field and I would appreciate if someone would help me
in this issue:
1) Currently, many people are using the same established reliability model of
leaded solder joint to study the reliability of new lead-free solder
joint. May I ask has anyone studied and confirmed that the model is fully
comaptible? What I'm trying to say is that if condition a in HASS &/or HALT
reflect a years of field life for leaded solder joint, does it mean
condition a reflect the same a years of field life for lead-free solder joint ,
or would it reflect (a + b) years of field life? Is it 'safe' to assume that
the reliability model applies to all the different types of lead-free alloys? If
some work has been done on this issue, please may someone provide me
the citation of this work? Thanks!
Best Regards
Clavius Chin
