next action towards finalizing the directives: what is coming next and
when?! are there any new directions which can be anticipated?
is there an accepted "deminimus" content (i.e., goods with <0.1%wt lead is
considered lead free and compliant with the directive)? I find no such
indication in reading RoHS but industry literature, etc. repeatedly
suggests zero may not be zero; inputs?
how will lead content be enforced in EU? is labelling or other
certification likely to be needed as a first indicator of lead-free? is
product sampling and analysis expected?
applicability to military and aerospace hardware: I conclude, from
reviewing WEEE Annex 1A and 1B that military hardware and aerospace
hardware (e.g., satellites) are not within the scope of applicability; any
disagreement on this?
