Tin already contains trace levels of lead so not much scope for adding

more.

Why pick on Cyprus, they have some high level scientific input on this.

Chris

Hi Chris, IPC LF Listservers,

<You can't intentionally add lead.

<The .1% is per each homogeneous substance.

<If your error of measurement is +/-0.01% then you'll have to be less

than .09%.>

Chris, I hate to say it yet YES you seem to be able to add Lead. I don't

like it yet that is the way this EU stuff is rolling out. According to

my

readings, as well as MD-Gordons' and others no where does it specify

that

you can not add lead. Again I don't like it since if the EU wants to be

Lead Free they better step up to the plate.

I understand your 1/10 or a decade reduction accuracy yet that might not

be

understood by most so the import agent (producer in that EU country like

Cyprus) that has a sloppy test may not know this without it in EU / EC

writing.

Yours in Engineering, Dave
