Not in my experience - Cr3 may have a more "blue" appearance - have seen
both bright and dull Cr6 over the years.
Regards,
Chris

Subject: [LF] Chrome6 to Chrome3 conversion for RoHs Compliance
Dear All,
Does anyone have images comparing the plating finish for Cr6(
hexavalent)
vs chrome 3(trivalent). Is Chrome 3 plating finish dull as compared to
Cr6. This would result in some very unhappy customers for a product like
RoHS compliant cellphones where ID appearance is so critical. Can the
plating experts on the forum, please shed some light on this.
Thank-you
Mumtaz
