I guess years went by and still very few have the will to understand what the visionary "imagined":

I detect more than the beginnings of an anti-European paranoia; maybe 
something to do with the risk of the strong Euro displacing the 
sacrosanct Dollar as a reference currency??? Or plain jealousy?
