Feldschloesschen tastes better that Boxer. However there is a renaissance of small breweries in Switzerland and Alpquoell (sounds weird) is now in fashion.
ChemRRV is the new chemicals regulation. I don't think there is an English version.
The Chem RRV does ban the substances, same as the RoHS. It was a bit of an difficult situation. The Chem RRV was in preparation in a quite sensible way as Brian supposed when the RoHS came into force. I believe in desperation, the people working on the ChemRRV just copy pasted the RoHS into the Chem RRV with a disastrous result:
- Now the substances are in a double manner in the legislation: 1)Distributed in the ChemRRV since the logic of this regulation is on substances rather than applications 2) In the RoHS pasted in.
- The ChemRRV does not only regulate the usage of a substance but also the handling. This means, by adding the RoHS which bans let's say the use of Pb in electronic applications also the handling of Pb is principally banned by untrained personnel. Very much like HCL or any other dangerous substance.
Don't know how this will be handled in the future. On request I didn't get an answer from the peson responsible.

Best regards

Guenter

What is the difference between Feldschlossen and Boxer?
Also, is the ChemRRV the new Chemicals regulation that just went into
force last year in April in Switzerland? Is there an English copy?
Does the ChemRRV merely require the labeling of heavy metals and PBE/PBDE in
products, or does it completely ban them (like in the RoHS Directive)?

Thanks,
Leah
