Export of first world waste to developing countries is a separate issue.
It goes far beyond the issue of lead, and it needs to be controlled.
Global enforcement of OSHA-like standards for emissions from smelters is
also an issue that needs to be dealt with. Violations of needed
regulations do not justify throwing the electronics industry baby out
with
the dirty water.
