Hmmmm... "Money Makes the World Go Round"  might be a good theme song  for
the practitioners of purposeful destruction of serviceable products.

Seems like it's time to read Huxley's  "Brave New  World" again. "Ending is
better than mending, the more stitches the less  riches" was one of the
hypnopedic messages drummed into the heads  of inhabitants of that future world
(...now here is seems)
