Hi Kay and IPC LF Listservers,
In looking at both documents and the notes from Paul and Joe I would have to
say the term homogenous would be confusing.
Homogenous to me is not a composite, and after awhile won't even be solder as
it ages and cracks and creates different structures. I would probably just
ignore it.
Mechanical Separation means to me very easy separation by the common man,
field repair technican or junk yard, with little tools. If it requires a special
tool even if a special screw driver it would not be mechanically separable to
me and those I know.
Article 5 1(a) reads to me that they could and will in the future go down to
material and component call outs and restrict concentrations at that level so
I don't understand.
