FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
IPC LINKS UP WITH BARNES AND NOBLE TO
BECOME LEADING SOURCE FOR PWB PUBLICATIONS

Northbrook, IL 07/20/98

The Institute for Interconnecting and Packaging Electronic Circuits (IPC) and Barnes
and Noble have just made it easier to find books on the printed wiring board (PWB)
and electronics assembly industries.
This collaboration will allow visitors to IPC's website to access direct links to
books relevant to the PWB and electronics assembly industries, which can be found in
Barnes and Noble's on-line bookstore.
Found at www.ipc.org/html/barnes.htm, the site allows browsers to search the entire
inventory of Barnes and Noble books under five different categories: printed
circuits, printed circuit design, electronics assembly, surface mount technology, and
soldering. Individual links have also been added to help browsers find some of the
more popular books under each of these topics.
"The link to industry books makes IPC's website the best and most complete source for
publications on the PWB and electronics assembly industries," says IPC President Thom
Dammrich.

"We receive frequent requests for industry-specific information. This web link
allows us to better serve the industry by not only providing access to IPC standards
