You probably know about these rulings already. Without comment here is a 
commentary from the WSJ. Without comment since these are more complex 
then they seem in terms of What to Do that is Right and Good for the US and 
for All!!

Though it involved the environment and not electoral votes, Al Gore finally got 
some measure of redemption at the Supreme Court. The justices issued two 
rulings today that taken together amount to a rebuke of President Bush’s 
major energy policies, reports DJ Newswires. In Massachusetts v. EPA, the 
Court ruled that several states and environmental groups can sue the 
environmental agency over its refusal to regulate automobile emissions that 
produce greenhouse gases. In a second-air pollution opinion, Environmental 
Defense v. Duke Energy, the justices ordered a lower court to reconsider a 
ruling favorable to power plant companies that polluted the environment in 
upgrading their facilities. >
