So far I've watched only half the programme. I haven't seen much that I
was already unaware of, although it summarised it in a mediatic way. As
you know, I mistrust all journalists and politicians because of their
agendas. I include scientists and engineers who lie to seek public
attention, because of funding issues or other vested interests in this
sweeping statement. With what I've seen so far, I have the impression
that this programme is essentially an anti-Administration (and not just
the Bush Sr and Jr ones) political attack, rather than an outline of the
science. It is an historical exposé of political expedience and
corruption but, will it get anyone anywhere? When you sling mud, it sticks.
Rather than "show where we have made mistakes", I would rather see "show
what we can do to help remedy the situation".
I hope the second half will help to rectify this situation, but I don't
have time to watch it just now.
