Rick,

I think your article is excellent and the strategies are good. The work
that Mike Jouppi and I are attempting to launch will quantify some of these
ideas and lead (we hope eventually) to the CAD toolmakers having data and
information sources to satisfy the comments in your closing paragraph.

As we discussed in San Jose, the 3 of us need to colaborate to move things
along faster than we have been able to do by ourselves.

Sincerely,

Richard

Subject: [EM] CircuiTree Column

As usual, I'd like to show the draft of my upcoming column to you EP
experts, so please let me know what needs to be added or changed. I've
got a couple of weeks before it's due.

Also, does anyone have a nice picture having to do with the thermal
effects of embedded resistors that I could submit along with this
article?

- Rick
