Hi,

Venky Sundaram of Georgia Tech has some very interesting "EMAP" activities
to report on from Georgia Tech. He gave a brief overview yesterday at the
appointed time for EDUG, but we want to repeat/add to the presentation
this coming Wednesday. The Georgia Tech group has a good number of
materials suppliers, semiconductor makers, and some fabricators involved
in their work. Venky reported their research spending is running about $1
million a year at Georgia Tech (the biggest program I know of in the US!!)

We want to give everyone a chance to hear Venky, so mark your calendars
now for Wednesday, August 22. We will quickly repeat the agenda below,
but spend most of our time with Venky.

Denny
