Thanks for all your reply regarding the gold finger plating & photomask.
How about the bevelling, does any one have the specification?

Regards,

Subject: Bevel specification & gold plating.

Hello everybody,
I would like to set some specifications for the different pcb vendors that are doing mass production
board for my company. The questions are :
1) I have realised that different vendors have variation on the card edge connector
bevel specification. Some are using 20 deg, some 30 deg and etc. Does any body knows
what is the spec. for the bevel and is there any different between ISA card and PCI card?
Also, how much clearance should the gold finger metal contact away from the bevelling.

2) What kind of gold finger plating is recommended for PCI card, right now I am using HAL board
with gold finger plating of 15 micro inch but I also accept vendors with gold flush boards of gold
thickness 3-5 micro inch. My project leader is complaining that the 3-5 micro inch is too thin but
the pcb vendors insist that is the gold thickness that are use for gold flush board. Any opinions ??

3) Does any body knows what is Ciba Geigy Probimer 52.

Thanks & Best Regards,
Eileen.
