I totally agree with Mario on this one.

It's always been normal practice for us to do this also. Then because our designs are intrinsically safe circuits they get checked again internally and then externally by a certified body.

My 2 cents, it is worth the time and effort for an extra set of eyes to review a design. No one is perfect and it's far better and certainly more cost effective to have some one 'find' a problem before fab. I provide services to many clients and every design goes through at least
2 reviews prior to release.

Hello everyone,
Firstly I apologize for the cross-posting and I hope it has not caused too much grief for some.

I am looking to improve a design method here and so I am seeking ideas from others.

Near the completion of a PCB design that I have generated, my senior designer scrutinizes the layout before the Gerbers etc. get sent. 
It is time consuming and tedious?

So, what are others doing?
I've always wondered how service bureaus handle this with their customers.
