You should watch X7R ceramic capacitors especially. Different divisions of
our company have different requirements for minimum component to Vscore,
but all have larger spacing for X7R's than other SMD's. I guess they are
more brittle than the average SMD and tend to crack when the boards are
singulated if too near the Vscore. Our conservative division uses .280 for
X7R and .140 for all other. Another uses .030 and .100.

From my experience, you need a minimum of 0.025" clearance to board edge
for
v-cut.  Also, our depanelization tool
requires a minimum of 0.115" clearance on one side.

Hi,

Can some tell me what is the distance for SMD components placement from
edge
of board. (V-scored panel to be separated by automatic cutter). If possible
give any reference of IPC standard.
