Dear colleague-

With the publication of IPC-2315 almost complete, the chairs of the IPC HDI Subcommittee are requesting your assistance in the development of IPC-2226, which will be the HDI and microvia design standard. IPC sent out a message immediately following IPC Printed Circuits Expo requesting your feedback on the straw man of IPC-2226, but there were little to no responses.

IPC has set aside three days at IPC headquarters in Northbrook, Ill. to work with the straw man document and industry feedback to develop a working draft for subcommittee distribution. The dates of the meetings are Wednesday, July 26 through Friday, July 28, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.

This document will be a very important one to the industry and will require the expertise of those of you currently in the process of designing, manufacturing or setting requirements for HDI PWBs. If you are involved with any of these aspects or know of a good contact of someone who would be interested, please send me that person's name and contact information.

To review a copy of the document and provide your comments, send an e-mail:

SUBJECT: REQUEST IPC-2226

The subcommittee would appreciate your comments no later than July 25 so they can be reviewed during the meetings.

If your intention of being on the committee was to work only on IPC-2315 and would like to be removed from this mailing list, please respond to me directly.

The following is a list of hotels located near IPC headquarters. Please contact the hotel directly to make your accommodations, and be sure to ask for the IPC rate.
