Mike,

I have looked at the Density Study in the IPC documentation... as well as a
lot of other Density information that I could find published.

What you are asking for... well... many folks have worked out ways to do
their quoting... and very few share them.

As for articles on this... do a web search for the name 'Happy Holden'. When
he used to work at Hewlett-Packard many years ago, he did analytical studies
on PCB Densities, and how to calculate them, and published a few of his
findings.

There are other studies that are available too... you will need a real good
'Technical' search engine to locate them, though.

The IPC and the PCB Design West (or East) conferences have presentations on
density - well, they have in the past.
