Brown oxide is more popular since the simple and fast procedure according to
Original Black oxide.
But Brown oxide is poor of bonding strength than Black oxide. And for High
speed design, Brown oxide is better because of the flatness of trace.

Subject: [DC] brown oxide vs black oxide

Hi,

Our supplier is changing their process from black oxide to brown oxide.
They
are asking us for approval. Has anyone here gone through this change? What

are the benefits and/or problems?

Thanks and best regards,
